About the Role

We're continuously extending our product capabilities to make data more actionable for our clients. You will have an important role in providing a high performing and easy to use Android app for data collection and expanding the scope of what we're able to track. As millions of images are analysed on edge across our devices it's important to write efficient and stable code.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining an intuitive UI as our offering grows

• Adding new features (data visualisation, performance improvements, etc.)

• Ensuring correctness and efficiency in high throughput data streams from low level sensors

• Unit and functional tests of the application

Requirements

• Min 3+ years of experience as an Android Developer

• A strong software engineering background and take pride in clean, well-organised maintainable code

• Experience with Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines

• Strong knowledge on Android architectural best practices and design patterns

• Experience working with built-in sensors (camera, location, etc.)

• Expert in using Git

• Strong communication skills in English - both written and verbally

Nice to Have

• An interest in machine learning (don't worry we will teach you the basics)

• Experience with computer vision and neural networks

• Experience with real-time mobile apps

• Experience with Postgres and PostGIS

• A mathematical background

• Experience with Mapbox

• Good design intuition and experience with Figma

• Experience with ASP.NET Core or C#

• Experience with dev ops
